“I am open to renting a home together” means that a person without a specific home is not limited to finding an existing room and is also willing to consider a new home with a compatible person.
The option is available when creating a Looking for Room listing. The person still describes preferred areas, maximum monthly budget and household routine; the option makes the shared search intention visible.[1]
An opted-in listing displays a “Can rent together” badge on its card and detail page. The badge does not confirm compatibility or acceptance of a particular home. It only shows that a joint search can be discussed.
How can two Looking for Room listings message each other?
Two Looking for Room listings can message each other when both the sender and recipient are open to renting together and their gender preferences are compatible.
Mutual selection prevents a one-sided intention from being treated as agreement. If you enable the option but the other Looking for Room listing does not, you cannot start a conversation for a joint home search.
